You are welcome to attend the interview with your son or daughter should you wish to do so, but it is important that this has been discussed with them prior to the meeting as some young people feel inhibited about expressing their views when their parents are present.

As a Careers Adviser of 19 years, I can confirm that I am fully CRB Checked to work with young people, the most recent check having been completed in 2007.

To enable me to give as informed and accurate guidance as possible it is especially helpful to have certain relevant information about your child’s health, their performance at school and any family circumstances that you think it appropriate for me to be aware of.

In the circumstances of a home visit I would appreciate it if at all possible to have access to a quiet room with a table and to a computer with internet access.
